Completed in 1986, Tinsulanonda Bridges was the final link in the highway system linking the southern Thai provinces with the rest of the country. It was named in honour of the former Prime Minister, General Prem Tinsulanonda, one of the most respected statements in modern Thai history, having been influential in establishing the foundations of the economic and political stability of Thailand. It is also the longest concrete bridge in Thailand, being close to 3000 meters in length. read more »

One of the main bridges in the Malaysian federal administrative capital of Putrajaya, the Seri Wawasan Bridge was constructed to link Precinct 8 and the Mixed Development Precinct in the Core Island. Opened in 16 April 2003, it has become one of the icons that leave a huge impression for those visit Putrajaya, partly due to its highly visible location. Nonetheless, the Seri Wawasan Bridge is also a beautiful sight, with its appearance that resembles a cable-stayed bridge making it stand out among other bridges. read more »

One of the longest suspension bridges in the world with a length of 3911 meters (12,831 ft), the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge is considered as one of Japan's greatest engineering feat. It acts as a link between the city of Kobe and Iwaya, with construction taking 12 years, from 1986 to 1998. Apart from its fine architecture, the Akashi Kaikyo Suspension Bridge is also designed to be resistant to earthquakes and harsh sea currents, as evidenced by how it withstood the effects of the Kobe earthquake in 1995. read more »
