GKPB was founded in 1930 when evangelical Christian and Missionary Alliance (CMA) sent missionary Foek Thurs Tsang to Bali. Pura Luhur Uluwatu is known as one of most spectacular temple on the island of Bali. The inner sanctum of the “pura” is perched majestically on the edge of a steep cliff that towers above the legendary surf breaks of southern Bali. Lovina Beach is one of the most famous tourist places in the northern part of Bali which owns beautiful calm sea water, dark sand and the sea with its dolphins. The Lovina Beach is known for its dolphin tours and hundreds of them can be seen in the morning about 1 km offshore. The temple on the rock or Tanah Lot as it is known is a Hindu temple set on rocks surrounded by the sea. The temple has a marvellous view of the sunset and around it are tame black and white snakes believed to be properties of the deities to guard the temple from bad influences.
