Day 1 North Link Line: Taipei - Hualien (Taroko National Park)
Entrain from Taipei to Hualien. Enbus to Taroko Gorge Gateway, visiting the famous sites, including Swallow Grotto, Tienhsiang (Siangde Temple), Tunnel of Nine Turns, Eternal Spring Shrine, Chi Shing Beach. Overnight: Marshal Hotel, Hualien.

Day 2 Hualien Taitung Line: Hualien - Taitung (East Rift Valley)
Entrain from Hualien to Taitung. Enbus to Bunun Tribe Cultural Park, visiting Luyeh Stage Tourist Tea Garden, Longtien Bicycle Riding and Beinan Cutural Park. Overnight: Feng Tai Hot Springs Hotel & Spa, Chihben.

Day 3 South Link Line: Chihben - Kaohsiung (Kaohsiung Sea & Mountain)
Entrain from Chihben to Kaohsiung. Enbus to Rich Year Farm and Zhu Lu Market, Thao Aboriginal Culture Village, Sun Moon Lake cable car, stroll by the lake, visit Hugo Assam Tea Farm and entrain from Taichung back to Taipei.

Waters, mountains, clear open skies! Taroko National Park is one of the most raved about national parks in Taiwan! Besides its lush greenery and near-perfect scenery, it is also home to a number of attractions within the park. These include the beloved Swallow Grottos (燕子口) and Wenshan Hot Spring (文山溫泉). Tunnel of Nine Turns, also known as the Jiuqudong tunnel, is the most spectacular sight alot the Taroko Gorge trail, where the cliffs face one another. This tunnel was constructed in 1996, providing a platform for tourists to view the many geographical wonders in Taroko National Park like the rock folds, joints and fissures of the marble cliffs. The two cliffs are situated so close to each other that it is as if they are joining to each other if one sees them from a distance. read more »

The Swallow Grotto is a cliff that is situated alongside the Taroko George with natural potholes on its surfaces as a result of the river and groundwater erosion. Visitors will have to take a stroll through the Tunnel of Nine Turns in order to view the Swallow Grotto at a close-up range, and that also comes with the additional benefit of enjoying the sceneries of Taroko George and Tunnel of Nine Turns which in turn complements the ecological habitat of the swallows - Swallow Grotto. read more »

Changchun Shrine was constructed in memorial of the 226 military veterans who died during the construction of the Central Cross-Island Highway from 1956 to 1960. The spring water adjacent to the shrine flows all year around and therefore the name Eternal Spring Shrine and the Highway Bureau named it after 'Changchun Falls'. It is now a scenic spot which holds an utmost significance to the Central Cross-Island Highway. read more »

Located north of Hualien and due east of the airport, is where the enchanting village of Chi Hsing Bay sits. Do not expect an entire stretch of sandy landscape here at Chi Hsing Beach as it is still largely undeveloped. However, Chi Hsing Beach does have its attractions based mainly on the amazing background dominated with mountains. read more »

It is situated near the bank of the Sun Moon Lake and has three separate halls each dedicated to different great historical people in the Chinese history, namely the First Ancestor Kaiji, God of Literature, God-of-War Guan Gong, Warrior-God Yue Fei and Confucius. There is also a flight of 366 steps to the temple that symbolises the days of a year (including leap year) with rest-points at the step that marks the start of each month. Wind chimes are placed along the steps to bless the visitors and if you are a believer, you can purchase a wind chime of your own Chinese zodiac and hang it along the steps. read more »
