The Langkawi cable car takes visitors from the foot to the peak of Mount Mat Cincang, the second highest peak in Langkawi. Located in the Oriental Village in the upper northwest of Langkawi Island, near Pantai Kok, tourists visiting will pass through a beautiful oriental garden before encountering a row of souvenir shops before reaching the pedestal to reach the start of the cable car ride. Visitors will notice the gradual temperature drop as the cable car ascends to the peak and the breeze begins to flow through the cabin through the ventilation slits at the top of the car. read more »

This man-made giant eagle is designed with its wings flapping up, overlooking the sea majestically as if it is ready to take flight and conquer the sky. Eagle Square is an impressive landmark, with its impressive 12-metre high giant eagle signifying the Lang or brown eagle from which Langkawi got its name. Located in the south of the island Dayang Bunting, the Lake of the Pregnant Maiden is only accessible by boat. It is the largest freshwater lake of Langkawi, created when a huge limestone cave collapsed. It derives its name from the combination of marble and granite bedrocks that formed into a figure that resembles a pregnant woman lying on her back. read more »

The Langkawi Fair Shopping Mall has over 100 individual shops, a spacious interior and adjoining supermarket and department store and is the largest shopping centre in Langkawi. It is the best place in town to hunt around in cool comfort for souvenirs, sports attire, beachwear, trinkets and audio-visual items. Legend has it that in Kampung Mawat, a Princess by the name of Princess Mahsuri was wrongfully accused and executed for a crime she did not commit. The village was constructed as a tribute to the legend that shot Langkawi to fame. Many visitors to Langkawi pay a visit to Mahsuri’s Mausoleum at Kampung Mawat about 15km out of the main township of Pekan Kuah, where it contains Mahsuri’s tomb, an aviary of local birds and peacocks representing peace and beauty, and a traditional house with a small museum. read more »
