Located in the heart of Chiang Mai, the Playhouse Entertainment is a 'green' theatre in which it uses mist fans and hand pulled stage sets as well as effects and lighting of minimal electricity to make the whole experience highly entertaining and yet environmentally friendly. Housing 350 seats, Playhouse Complex offers two live entertainments of top quality every Mondays to Saturdays. It hosts daily snake shows and even allows tourists to come into contact with different types of reptiles, in particularly snakes. Founded in 1993 under Royal Patronage, the Thai Elephant Conservation Center (TECC), is the only government owned elephant conservation centre in Thailand. It takes care of more than 50 Asian elephants in a beautiful forest, and proudly houses six of HM King Bhumibol's ten white elephants in the Royal Elephant Stables.
