Built in 1956, Erawan Shrine was originally a spirit house, enshrined to ward off bad luck during the construction of the first Erawan Hotel nearby. It houses a gilded statue of Brahma (also called Phra Phrom in Thai), the four-faced Hindu god of creation. An indoor sporting arena located in Bangkok, the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium is run by the Royal Thai Army and is now an icon for the modern Muay Thai in Thailand. You can get to watch the muay thai tournaments which are held every Tuesdays, Fridays as well as Saturdays in the evening at around 6pm. In addition, it is seen as something rare in Thailand but Lumpinee Boxing Stadium is one of those few places where gambling and betting are allowed. read more »

Located in Sriracha District, Chonburi Province, Sriracha Tiger Zoo is home to more than 200 Bengal tigers and 100,000 crocodiles of all sizes, from babies to full grown ones. As its name suggests, tigers are the main attractions here, with visitors being allowed to hold, feed and take photos with baby tigers. The tiger show is amazing, with tiger displaying various tricks like following their handlers only on their hind legs or rolling across the floor like a playful baby. read more »

Khao Chichan's Engraved Buddha Image is a line-etched Buddha image on the cliff of Mount Chichan. It is a sacred Buddhist object, and also the largest effigy of its kind, leaving many amazed by the sheer magnitude of it. In Wat Phra Yai, also known as the Big Buddha Hill, houses a large image of Buddha at the summit of the hill. The Sanctuary of Truth is a gigantic wooden construction, with it's top point being about 105 meters high. One of the greatest attractions Pattaya and Jomtien has to offer, it is a place not to be missed, with the building being an expression of ancient Thai ingenuity and 17th century skills of the Thai artists. Completed in 1986, Tinsulanonda Bridges was the final link in the highway system linking the southern Thai provinces with the rest of the country. It was named in honour of the former Prime Minister, General Prem Tinsulanonda, one of the most respected statements in modern Thai history, having been influential in establishing the foundations of the economic and political stability of Thailand. It is also the longest concrete bridge in Thailand, being close to 3000 meters in length. read more »

Situated on Bang Kra Beach in Cha-am County, Mrigadayavan Palace was constructed in 1923 as a summer getaway by King Rama VI. It is a magnificent structure, with its 16 buildings totaling 399 metres long, supported by 1,080 concrete pillars. All the buildings are made with golden teak and constructed Thai-Victorian style, all connected by elevated airy walkways designed to catch the breezes from all directions. read more »

Wat Khao Tham Khan Kradai and Caves are actually made up of two magnificent cave systems that overlook the Ao Khan Kradai Bay. There will be several set of steps as you begin on the journey up from the foot of the mountain. The stairs are shell-paved and will eventually lead to the first cave which is relatively smaller and houses some seated Buddha statues. read more »
