Designated as a nature park in 1989, the 87-hectare Sungei Buloh Nature Park has charmed many locals within a short period of time, welcoming its 100,000th visitor in 1994. Being a regional stopover for migratory birds, it is a paradise for bird-lovers and provides a great place for bird-watching. Despite its area os just 81 hectares, it is estimated to have more plant species than the whole of North America, attesting to the rich biodiversity it possesses. The TreeTop Wallk is the main feature of the few hiking routes in MacRitchie which will bring you into the different stages of a secondary forest. HSBC Treetop Walk is the very first suspension bridge connecting the two highest point of MacRitchie and thus giving visitors a bird's eye view of the different species of flora and fauna that thrive in the forest canopy. The entire length of the walkway measures about 250m while the height measuring from the forest floor will vary accordingly at different sections of this walkway and the highest point at 25m. read more »
