The temple on the rock or Tanah Lot as it is known is a Hindu temple set on rocks surrounded by the sea. The temple has a marvellous view of the sunset and around it are tame black and white snakes believed to be properties of the deities to guard the temple from bad influences. Ayutthaya was previously the capital for trading between Thailand and the rest of Southeast Asia. In addition, Ayutthaya was also the main capital before King Rama I took over the throne and allocated Bangkok as the capital of Thailand. Despite the site being ruined to a certain extent, when you get on a ride on the River Sun Cruise, you will appreciate how things have changed throughout the decades and will not help but go into a deep thought, wondering how was Ayutthaya like before the invasion and unfortunate events that had happened. read more »

The Galle Face is a promenade which stretches for a half kilometre along the coast in the heart of the financial and business district of Colombo, Sri Lanka. The promenade was initially laid out in 1859 by the Governor of what was then British Ceylon, Sir Henry Ward, and was also used for horse racing and as a golf course, although the original Galle Face Green extended over a much larger area than is seen today.
