Shinjuku is one of the most top attractions in Japan. Shinjuku is most commonly referred to the area near the station where large entertainment, shopping and business can be found. Shinjuku Station is the world's busiest railway station, with over 2 million commuters passing through it each day. Before you get lost, do take note of the three main exits that are available, the East exit, South exit or the West exit. To get to the high street shopping area, take the East exit. The South exit leads you to the Times Square Shopping Centre whereas the West exit leads to the skyscraper and business area. Shinjuku is also famous for its nightlife. Tourists can check out Kabukicho, Japan's largest red light district where you can find many nightclubs, bars,panchiko parlors and love hotels. In Kabukicho, visitors can find Golden Gai, a small atmospheric nightlife district littered with over 200 small bars and eateries. Some of the bars have signs and menus outside listing prices in English. Shinjuku is also lined with famous big-chained department stores and electronic stores. Some of the department stores are Isetan, Takashimaya, Odakyu and Lumine. A few of the places of attractions in Shinjuku is Japanese Sword Museum, Shinjuku Gyoen and the Central Park.

1. For those looking for the technology gadgets, head to any three electronic stores; Yodabashi Camera, Bic Camera and Yamada Denki.

2. Head to Omoide Yokocho, located along the tracks northwest of Shinjuku Station, for snacks stands and tiny eateries serving ramen, soba, sushi, yakitori and kushiyaki.

3. Visit the Shin-Okubo Koreatown for all things Korean, including K-pop music and even their groceries. These shops are mostly managed by the Korean immigrants.
