Established in 1888, the Kuala Lumpur Lake Gardens (Taman Tasik Perdana) is Malaysia's most popular park. Built around an artificial lake, it contains 91.6 hectares of greenery, making a must-visit for all nature lovers. Visitors can enjoy nature at its best here with beautiful flowers, flowering shrubs, shady trees, gorgeous botanical gardens and many other features. The Kuala Lumpur Lake Gardens incorporates the Orchid Garden, the Hibiscus Garden, the Butterfly Park, Bird Park, Malaysian National Monument, Carcosa Seri negara and The Forest Research Institute of Malaysia. There is also a children's playground as well as exercise stations.
