Beginning at the sight-seeing platform located at the north of the Chongde Tunnel, the Chongde Trail (崇德步道) is a short trail that leads to the Chongde Shingle beach. Along the trail, visitors will get to see many plants and insects in the greenery, with information plaques set up along the path. Most of the plants along the trail are sun-like broadleaf trees. Stone benches are also available at the end of the Chongde Trail, providing a resting spot for visitors to sit down to enjoy the great scenery of white waves crashing on the rocks. Going down to the Chongde Shingle beach, visitors can also catch the sunrise here, a spectacular sight as the sun rays shine on the sea surface, creating thousands of flickering points of lights. Flocks of birds can also been seen flying around and diving into the waters for food.
This place is also known as 崇德步道.
