Wulai Old Street begins at the Wulai Atayal Museum on one end and finishes at Lansheng Bridge on the other end. The entire stretch of street between these two places of attractions are dominated with eateries, restaurants, street vendors and different kinds of traditional Taiwanese handicrafts. Seeking for a cheap clothing and souvenirs to bring back for your loved ones? Wulai Old Street would be an ideal place for you to purchase all of that. When your hunger pangs strike, be sure to pay attention to every single scent that comes to your nose when you decide what to eat. The entire street vendors will lure you over with their unique Taiwanses delicacies such as Zhu Tong Fan, which is glutinous rice cooked using bamboo. There will also be barbecued mountain pork and Millet Wine with different exotic tastes for you to choose from.

Take bus no. 849 from Xindian MRT Station to get to Wulai bus terminus. If you are staying in the Taipei Main Station area, you can take 849 from the terminus back. It stops at Gongyuan at the Taipei Mains Station area.

Remember to check out the spectacular Wulai Waterfall (乌来瀑布) which is north Taiwan's highest waterfall at 80m. You can also take a trip on the little train (at NT50 one-way) up to the aboriginal village near the waterfall.

The easiest way to get to 乌来 would be to take the MRT (Green Line) to 新店 station. Turn right after exiting the station and look for the stand for bus 849.

By Bus: Take Xiandian Transportation (新店客運) from Hubei Bus Station and alight at Wulai Old Street (烏來老街)
By Train: Alight at Huda hospital/Zhongzheng Jiniantang/Wanlong/Jingmei train station (臺大醫院、中正紀念堂、公館、萬隆、景美捷運站) and take Xiandian Transportation (新店客運) to Wulai Old Street (烏來老街)
