Most people hike to Seokguram after visiting Bulguksa, or the other way around. The scenery along the way is very pleasant, with the crowning moment being the one when you reach the Grotto. This site is so famous because of the stone Buddha carved into the cave's granite wall, which is quite an awe-inspiring sight to behold. Do not that the Buddha is situated behind a glass wall and that photographs are forbidden. The small size of the chamber also suggests that the Silla royalty had exclusive access to it. Many also come here right before daybreak to witness the sunrise from this spot, as it is said to be very beautiful.
