The Thick Noodle Soup at Yingcai Road is famous for their Da Mien Geng (Thick Noodle Soup) which are thick yellow noodles covered with leeks and fried onions. The soup is thick, sticky and tasty, definitely a must-try dish in Taiwan that will send you begging for more. The Thick Noodle Soup at Yingcai Road also serves to let locals reminisce their eating habits during their childhood days, just by simply adding a portion of tofu, egg and other stewed items. The most famous stall would be that of the Ying Cai Da Mien Geng as it has over 2 decades worth of history and is one of the first restaurants in Taichung to serve this authentic delicacy. What is more is that they even serve at a speed faster than that of a fast food restaurant!
This place is also known as 英才路大麵羹.

1.Nearest to Taichung station
2.Take a 1 minute walk towards 國光客運台中站 which is located opposite Taichung staiton.
3.At 國光客運台中站, board bus 1872 [07:00-21:00] which will bring you towards 國光客運高雄站.
4.Alight one stop later , which is approximately 3 minutes later.
5.Subsequently, take a 12 minutes walk towards No. 215號, Yīngcái Road, Bei District, Taichung City, Taiwan 404 which is located 850m away.
- Head northwest on 中港路一段/台中港路一段/台12線 toward 梅川東路二段
- Turn right onto 梅川東路二段
- Continue onto 梅川東路三段
