Experience local terengganu food at Cafe Downtown at Tropical Inn. Operating on a buffet concept, the restaurant offers delicious all-you-can-eat buffet of local fare at a decent price (RM$25++ per head): Nasi Beriani buffet every Wednesday and Chicken Rice buffet every Monday and Thursday. The nasi beriani is served with aromatic mutton rendang made from whole legs of New Zealand lambs. The lamb is tender and softly infused with the fragrant spices that make up the gravy. The chicken in the Chicken Rice buffet is smooth and tender (with your choice of cut), and is not served up too oily as many chicken rice stalls are wont to do. Service is excellent as chefs cheerfully cut up your choice of meats and serve them up with a smile.
